Srinagar, July 10 (KNO) : Seriously concerned about the deteriorating health of jailed Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar, extended remand of JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik by NIA, sealing of the residential house of jailed female leader Asiya Indrabi and repeated questioning of his grandson Anees-ul-Islam by NIA, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday said that rulers have very brazenly crossed all the moral, ethical and human limits to take revenge from the people in general and pro-freedom leaders and activists in particular. In a statement issued to KNO, he said that “wife of Ayaz Akbar is struggling for her life as she is suffering from deadly breast cancer for the last 4-5 years. In this pathetic situation, she needs the company, moral help and support of her husband, but those sitting in the power corridor of Delhi are so heartless that they can’t feel the pain and agony of the suffering families of these prisoners.” “Extending NIA custody of Yasin Malik is yet again an attempt and a planned conspiracy to prolong the detention of pro-freedom leader by using judicial tools. Malik is suffering from multiple ailments and his continuous imprisonment has threatened his life and was hospitalized several times in recent past,” he said. Strongly condemning sealing of residence of jailed female leader Asiya Indrabi, by NIA, pro-freedom leader said that his husband Dr. Qasim Faktoo is facing life imprisonment for the last 27 years and now their family has been rendered homeless, this is not only undemocratic and inhuman but shameful as well. Geelani also condemned repeated questioning of his family members by NIA and recent summoning of his grandson Anees-ul-Islam. It is just put a psychological burden on me and to force me to subjugation, but these means and childish acts have been tried in past also and they failed to get the oppressor their desired result and will not sacred today also, he added. He said that best and simple measure for India is to accept the historical facts and sincerely address the core issue, otherwise its no-resolution can threaten every fabric of peace and development and dreams of upcoming and pounding economy will shatter to the maximum for which only the arrogant and deceitful approach of India will be responsible.(KNO)
